Stations of the CrossLike many Catholic Schools in the Archdiocese of Chicago, we have an exciting history! Catholic education was important to the pioneering families and their spirit and devotion to Catholic education continues today.

Immaculate Conception School originally opened at the same time the parish opened. The parish was founded in 1882 by Polish immigrants and they already had a school in 1882! The original founders of our school opened the school because they were concerned with their children losing their faith as they entered American culture.

The parish school functioned from 1882 to 1982, when it closed due to changing circumstances in the neighborhood.

The school was re-opened in 1992 with Kindergarten and First Grade. A religious community, the Daughters of Mary Immaculate of Guadalupe staff the school along with the Springfield Dominican Sisters and lay faculty members.Student Stations of the Cross
